September brought three finished projects—a reversible double-knit hat, a colorful textured cowl, and a 1,500-yard colorwork poncho—with more items coming to the shop soon. October’s lineup includes cozy sweaters, a lace scarf, a baby blanket, and even a Christmas gnome. Heather’s also eyeing a new fall-themed gnome knitalong and custom holiday sweaters. Beyond knitting, she’s celebrating her daughter’s 9th birthday, diving into Taylor Swift’s new album, and settling into a new role at Spring Health.

People often ask how I manage to knit so much. The truth is, I knit everywhere — at the beach, on the boardwalk, in the car, at soccer games — and I always have a mix of projects going. From mindless stitches to intricate lace, I knit about 15,000 yards of yarn a year, enough to stretch across the Golden Gate Bridge five times.
